Dr. Kundu received her Bachelor of Science degree from the Pennsylvania State University and her
M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Jefferson Medical College as part of the six-year accelerated B.S./M.D. and Gibbons Scholar M.D./Ph.D. program. Dr. Kundu was a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institutes of Health, prior to completing clinical training in Clinical Pathology/Hematopathology and additional research training at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Kundu has received several prestigious awards, including the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation Fellowship Award, Burroughs Wellcome Career Award in Biomedical Sciences, American Society of Hematology Junior Faculty Scholar Award, as well as multiple grant awards from the National Institutes of Health. She is also an elected member of the American Society for Clinical Investigations.
