 A 27-year-old Norwich man with a string of illegal driving convictions has been charged with two counts of second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle in connection with an April 2020 crash that led to the deaths of two people.
In addition to the manslaughter charges, Cameron Barnhill, of 59 School St., basement apartment, was also charged by Norwich police on Tuesday with driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, driving while under suspension, failure to drive in proper lane and traveling unreasonably fast.
On April 25, 2020, Norwich police responded to the area of 208 W. Main St. for a report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries. On arrival, officers determined three vehicles were involved, including a Toyota Prius driven by Barnhill.
