Norway: Neptune Energy drills oil and gas discovery northwest of the Draugen field in the Norwegian Sea

Neptune Energy Norge, operator of production licence PL 938, has completed the drilling of wildcat well 6407/8-8 S. The well, which was drilled about 14 kms northwest of the Draugen field in the Norwegian Sea, encountered oil and gas in the Garn formation, which was the primary target. The preliminary calculation of the size of the discovery is between 1.0 and 3.5 million Sm3 of recoverable oil equivalent.
