North Suburban YMCA to host "Healthy Kids Day" 5K Run/Walk on April 24th

The North Suburban YMCA is hosting its fourth annual Healthy Kids Day from 8-10 a.m. Saturday, April 24. As part of the YMCA's annual event, participants can choose an in-person USATF certified 5K route that starts at the Y with staggered start times, or sign up to compete in a virtual 5K that may be completed on any course by April 24.
"After this long winter, we're encouraging all families to stay active and join in our Healthy Kids Day 5K. We've seen the impact that the pandemic has had on our community and we feel that now, more than ever, our mission is to provide healthy and fun resources for our community's physical and emotional well-being," said North Suburban YMCA's CEO Kathy Fielding.
