North Carolina Senate sends abortion-law amendments to House

Senators approved three of 15 offered amendments concerning Senate Bill 20, the new abortion law scheduled to go into effect on Saturday, and only two Democrats in the end voted against the additions to House Bill 190. There will be a hearing about a challenge in federal court on Wednesday.
