The North Bank of River Brahmaputra, where BJP and its allies hold sway in 17 of the 18 constituencies, will be the crucial battleground to watch for during the Assam assembly elections, as the recent tie-up of the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) with the Congress has made the latter a strong contender in many of these seats.
