TASS, February 4. The Norilsk Nickel Company (Nornickel) plans to cut greenhouse gases’ annual emissions to levels below 10 million tonnes by 2030, the company’s Senior Vice President Andrei Bugrov said on Wednesday at a foresight session with involved parties, which was organized as a part of preparations for the company’s sustainability report for year 2020.
"In the context of expanding production (the company) will implement a technical upgrade program and will cut the absolute amount of emitting greenhouse gases to the level below 10 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent, of carbon dioxide equivalent," he said.
