Founded in 2008 by state nonprofit organization Farmers of Orange, the Chapel Hill Farmers’ Market supports local agriculture by offering fresh, locally grown produce year-round. Vendor run and operated, the Chapel Hill Farmers’ Market provides an essential service by directly connecting both home and professional kitchens with the farms their food comes from.
“All of our vendors grow or produce what they bring to market from within 60 miles of Chapel Hill,” said Kate Underhill, market manager for the Chapel Hill Farmers’ Market. “Our vendors sell a wide variety of products: the freshest vegetables, pastured meats, cheeses, and artisan bread, local honey jams, craft beverages, and a whole lot more.”
