MAYOR Oscar Moreno said Monday, December 14, that there will be no increase in tax rates in Cagayan de Oro City in 2021.
"I don't think so. We have not increased our tax rates since we took over in 2013 and we have not imposed new taxes since 2013. Ang ato lang is collection of taxes," Moreno said.
"No new taxes, no higher tax rates," he added.
Meanwhile, the City Finance Department will be implementing the "One-Time Assessment, One-Time Payment" starting January 4, 2021 to speed up the process for the annual business permit renewal.
According to Assistant City Treasurer for Operations engineer Leonil Mistula, businessmen will no longer need to visit the other offices in the city hall to process the business permit as the Business One-Stop Shop will do it for them.
