No contest plea in stalking case | News, Sports, Jobs

HOLLIDAYSBURG — An Altoona man charged last year with stalking the family of his former landlord has agreed to avoid future contact with that family as part of a no contest plea to the offense.
Erick J. Karlson, 46, rendered the plea Wednesday in Blair County Court in exchange for a time-served county prison sentence of four to eight months.
Because Karlson has time remaining on a state prison sentence handed down in Centre County, he will be returned to the State Correctional Institution at Benner, then subject to state supervision upon release, attorneys advised President Judge Elizabeth Doyle, who reviewed the proposed plea agreement.
