Shaleen Jones, whose friend suffered a serious concussion in the crash, said she is frustrated and disappointed that no charges will be laid.
“There’s video footage of him running the red light and destroying people’s bodies and cars and to think that nothing came of that, I shake my head,” Jones said.
Her friend Cheryl Hebert, a single mother of two children, has been unable to work since the crash, has to avoid looking at screens and becomes exhausted easily. She spent most of the first several months after the crash in a dark room and is still trying to rebuild her strength and regain cognitive function.
