NJ Republicans plan to play hardball over MLB All-Star Game move

The Republican State Leadership Committee is circulating a digital ad that will appear in New Jersey and Virginia — the other state that is holding a governor's race this year — blasting the "hypocrisy" of the Democratic Party's "cancel culture" tactics that led to MLB's decision to move the Midsummer Classic to Denver.
The 30-second spot makes the claim that low-income, working-class Atlanta residents who would work in the hotels, stadium concessions and other businesses — all counting on well-earned overtime — would bear the brunt of the decision to move the All-Star extravaganza to Colorado.
And herein, the GOP argument goes, lies the hypocrisy. The Democrats who claim to be the champions of the working class are actually harming them with their "woke" zealotry.
