Nissan seeks to increase its Sunderland workfoce by more than 400 in recruiting drive
NISSAN is today launching a recruiting drive to fill more than 400 jobs created at its North East plant.
The Japanese car giant said it has more than 400 manufacturing staff positions available to new employees at the Wearside complex as construction of existing range of vehicles expands and with the advances recently announced in the electric vehicle (EV) field.
Permanent and temporary positions are now open for would-be applicants in joining what Nissan heralds as its, “world-class manufacturing team.”
Today’s news is described as, “a real vote of confidence” in the Sunderland plant, which already has a workforce of about 6,000, while also providing knock-on employment for thousands more in the nearby supply chain.
