BUCHAREST (Romania), January 7 (SeeNews) - Romania's competition authority said on Thursday that it imposed on nine companies active on the agricultural machinery market fines worth a total 126.9 million lei ($31.9 million/ 26.1 million euro) for price fixing.
The fines were issued on the basis of the findings of an investigation started in 2017, the Competition Council said in a statement.
During the investigation, the competition authority found that between 2014 and 2018 the companies coordinated their pricing policies to reduce competition after the establishment of a national agricultural machines prices database by the National Agency for Rural Investment Financing.
