One person is dead following an early morning mobile home fire in Ft. Pierce. The fire broke out at a home located at the Colony Club Mobile Home Park along US-1 on Monday at 2:42 a.m. When firefighters arrived, one home was fully engulfed in flames and three others were exposed."There were residents inside the home and there were individuals transported to a local hospitals," said Chief Brian Hester, Chief Deputy with St. Lucie County Sherriff's Office. Officials said the cause of the fire was determined to be "an unspecified electrical malfunction." At least nine families were displaced. The Red Cross was called to assist. Officials have not yet released any details on the victim of the fire. This is a developing story and will be updated as more information is made available.
