Nikole Hannah-Jones is all the talk after she rejected a tenured position at the University of North Carolina and will be accepting a role at
Howard University instead. The Black investigative journalist will now become a tenured member of the faculty at the historically Black university’s Cathy Hughes School of Communications.
The UNC alumna will take on the role as the inaugural Knight Chair in Race and Journalism and will begin her faculty role this summer.
