Wednesday, the Panthers sent QB Teddy Bridgewater to the Denver Broncos for a sixth-round pick, according to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero.

The move likely takes the Broncos out of contention -- the ninth overall pick -- for a quarterback, as Bridgewater will probably battle incumbent starter Drew Lock for the QB1 gig in training camp. However, with Bridgewater moving on, the Panthers -- who pick ahead of the Broncos at No. 8 -- could be back in the market for a QB, even with Sam Darnold already in the fold.
