News Journal staff earn 14 Ohio Associated Press Media Editors awards

MANSFIELD - Mansfield News Journal staffers earned four first-place awards, seven second-place awards and three third-place awards Tuesday in the 2020 Ohio Associated Press Media Editors contest.
The awards in order of finish — first, second and third places — were announced online after a brief ceremony, held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Ohio APME is an association of the state's top newspaper, television and radio news outlets.
The News Journal was named the second-best newspaper of its size in the general excellence category. It competes in Division III — Ohio newspapers with a daily circulation of 12,000 to 18,999.
