Addis Abeba, May, 22/2021 – Final Preparations for the launch of the joint Sudanese-Egyptian military training exercise titled “Nile Protectors”, and scheduled to take place in Sudan between May 26 and 31 of this year have been completed Sudan News Agency (SUNA) reported yesterday.
The report disclosed that personnel from all specializations and classes in the both military will participate in the exercise. The report also disclosed that Egyptian forces participating in the exercise arrived at Khartoum Air Base, along with convoys of ground forces and vehicles that arrived by sea.
The report said that the “Nile Protectors” maneuver comes as an extension of a series of joint training exercises between the two countries, and was preceded by two exercise tiled Nile Eagles 1 and 2, all of which aim to exchange military expertise, enhance cooperation and unify working methods to address the expected threats to the two countries according to the report.
