When Camden Murphy released his debut album Love Over Everything back on Sept. 18, it instantly became one of the best records to come out of Newport over the past few years. With inventive beats and a spellbinding lyrical delivery, Murphy put out a record that grabs the roots of hip hop and plants them in a modern field.
One of the top tracks off of the album is “Spilled Paint,” which is one of three songs that has Andrea Belaidi from the Portsmouth, New Hampshire funk-hop act Harsh Armadillo. On Dec. 11, Murphy released a music video for the track which has a lot of colors being shown along with choreographed dancing. Fellow Newport resident David Dougherty also handled the directing of the video.
