Newport News animal shelter wants foster families to clear the cages for Christmas

NEWPORT NEWS, Va.— Whether you’re looking for a new best friend or just a playful pooch for a few days, this holiday, you can make a difference for an animal in need.
Around 200 other fur babies at the Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter need a home for the holidays.
The Newport News animal shelter is now accepting applications for its Christmas Holiday Heroes Foster Program.
“We’re looking to find every animal a Holiday Hero Foster Home for Christmas,” explained shelter coordinator Tiffany Webb.
