Newfound students shine at state music festival
March 10, 2021BRISTOL — Four musicians from Newfound Regional High School were recently awarded Superior and Excellent ratings at the New Hampshire State Solo and Ensemble Festival. The annual festival, sponsored by the New Hampshire Music Educators Association, and held virtually this year, provides for adjudication settings for soloists and small groups.
Autumn Braley was awarded an "A" (Superior) rating on flute for her performance of the Mozart Flute Concerto in D. Isabel Braley received an "A" (Superior) rating for her vocal solo "Someone Like You" from Jekell & Hyde". Simon Shedd also received an "A" (Superior) rating for his performance of "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major General" from "Pirates of Penzance", and Karma Burrows-Buzzota received a "B" (Excellent) rating for her vocal solo of "On My Own" from Les Miserables.
