An extra Covid testing site has been launched in Selby, the UK's worst Covid hotspott.
AN EXTRA testing site has been set up in Selby in a bid to contain an outbreak which has made the town the UK's worst Covid hotspot.
North Yorkshire’s Public Health service says the mobile unit has been established at Clipper Logistics for people who do not have symptoms to take a lateral flow test.
Clipper's workforce in Selby has been significantly affected by the outbreak, which has led to the town's rate doubling.
A spokesperson said the authorities were also working in the wider community in schools and care settings, community centres and the hospitality sector, to reinforce key prevention messages and help manage any cases as and when they occur.
