2021 Safari, which will be available across six variants, XE, XM, XT, XT+, XZ and XZ+, will come powered by a 2.0-litre Kryotec turbocharged diesel engine.

Yesterday evening, Tata Motors formally unveiled the second generation avatar of the Safari SUV in India. We had initially expected the automaker to launch the car yesterday, but that was not to be. However, the company did share when it will start accepting the new Tata Safari's bookings in India as well as when it will become available for retail. Okay, the carmaker didn't share the exact launch date, but we have a fair idea. Tata Safari 2021 SUV's bookings in India will open on 4 February -- unfortunately, the company didn't share one crucial detail i.e. the token amount. Tata, however, said it will disclose the amount closer to when it will open order books for the upcoming SUV in India.
