New York – PETA is rolling out the
blood red carpet for the new M Social Hotel in Times Square. Because the hotel’s parent company, Millennium Hotels and Resorts, still sponsors the Iditarod—in which more than 150 dogs have died—PETA protesters will descend on the hotel’s opening day with “dead dogs” and suitcases sporting a spoof “Mill
hellium” logo.

“PETA is calling on Millennium Hotels and Resorts to
check out of the Iditarod’s cruelty to dogs,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “M Social Hotel guests should be disgusted at the thought of supporting a race that has run 150 dogs to their deaths and countless others to the brink of collapse.”
