NMRLD News:
SANTA FE — The Cannabis Control Division (CCD) announced Friday that it has posted the list of the 161 people who have submitted online applications to be appointed to the newly created Cannabis Regulatory Advisory Committee on its website, ccd.rld.state.nm.us.
Located within the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department (NMRLD), CCD is committed to ensuring a transparent process as it stands up the adult-use cannabis industry in our state.
The recently enacted Cannabis Regulation Act (CRA) provides that CCD must establish the Cannabis Regulatory Advisory Committee no later than Sept. 1, 2021. The Advisory Committee is charged with advising CCD on the development of rules covering best practices, the promotion of economic and cultural diversity in licensing and employment opportunities, and protection of public health and safety, among other subjects.
