An appeal has been launched to allow a Plymouth church to expand its work in a new premises which was once home to a much-loved Plymouth shop.
Plymouth Vineyard Church is moving out of its existing home in Kinterbury Street into a new premises in Cornwall Street, which was Lawsons homeware shop until it closed in June last year.
Liz Lawson, great granddaughter of founder Tom Lawson, succeeded her father as managing director in 1998, said she was "devastated" to close the much-loved store which had been trading for 116 years.
