The president of Libya's newly elected interim government, Mohammad Younes Menfi, arrived in the eastern city of Tobruk on Friday and met with regional leaders.
His visit follows a U.N.-sponsored conference last week in which delegates from Libya's warring sides picked four leaders to guide the nation ahead of the December elections.
Menfi, chairman of Libya's Presidential Council, arrived from Benghazi, and immediately met with dozens of tribal leaders, elders and activists at the Dar al-Salam Hotel, the headquarters of Libya's Parliament in Tobruk.
