A new leader has been chosen to head the Holyoke Soldiers' Home in the wake of the deaths of 77 veterans from COVID-19.The Board of Trustees voted Thursday to hire Rick Holloway as Superintendent. He is currently the administrator of the Idaho Veterans' Home in Boise. Holloway has decades of experience in long-term care and is a licensed nursing home administrator.The Soldier's Home in Holyoke was one of the hardest-hit facilities in the country during the pandemic.
