COLEMAN. MICHEAL: COLEMAN WAS A SURPRISE WINNER OF THE DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY LAST AUGUST FOR A STATE HOUSE SEAT FROM KANSAS CITY, KANSAS, AND THEN, BECAUSE IT’S A HEAVILY DEMOCRATIC DISTRICT, HE EASILY WON ELECTION IN NOVEMBER. HOWEVER, THERE HAVE BEEN CHARGES ABOUT HIS PAST, INCLUDING RECENT CHARGES ABOUT ABUSE AGAINST A FORMER GIRLFRIEND. NOW, 7 INCOMING DEMOCRATIC WOMEN LEGISLATURE IN JANUARY HAVE SIGNED A STATEMENT SAYING THAT THEY THINK THAT HIS ACTIONS IN THE RECENT PAST, COMBINED WITH HIS HISTORY OF VIOLENCE, CONTINUOUSLY DEMONSTRATE THAT HE IS UNFIT TO SERVE. AND THE HOUSE LEADERSHIP HAS ALSO JOINED THEM TO CALL FOR COLEMAN TO RESIGN, EVEN BEFORE HE IS SWORN IN AS A STATE REPRESENTATIVE, WHEN THE LEGISLATURE CONVENES IN EARLY JA
