If opened, the eatery, which did not have a name announced during the meeting, would occupy spaces that formerly housed Elegance Baker's and Faizies Hair Salon. There was no word on when the restaurant could open its doors.
The planning commission unanimously approved both the site plan and the recommendation for a special land use, the latter of which still requires approval from city council.
No members of the public spoke during the public hearing for the restaurant, though there was some discussion surrounding greenspace elements to the site.
Commissioner Michael Steenburg asked if there was a way to add any sort of greenery to that area, even in pots, to help spruce it up.
