New installation honors influential women in S.T.E.M. | News, Sports, Jobs

PITTSBURGH — In celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, Carnegie Science Center will unveil a new installation that honors influential women in S.T.E.M. during a Facebook Live at 10 a.m. Thursday.
During the Facebook Live, science center staff members will introduce viewers to the seven women featured in the installation by describing their accomplishments in biomedical engineering, paleontology, sports medicine, conservation and a variety of other S.T.E.M. fields.
The installation, which is displayed in Carnegie Science Center’s FedEx S.T.E.M. Learning Labs, highlights the following women:
