Cllr Maxine Smith says the new group will have a "peaceful, collaborative approach.”
Three former SNP members and Highland Council’s only green councillor have banded together to form their own group within the council set to be called Highland Matters.
The four say they found common ground on issues like independence for Scotland, climate change and caring for their communities amid a parting shot at “untenable divisions” within the SNP group.
