New COVID-19 death reported by health unit

A new death attributed to COVID-19 was announced by the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit Tuesday after a weekend surge of new cases.
The health unit provided no information on the age or gender of the community member and only said the person was not living in a long-term care or retirement facility before being admitted to hospital where they died.

While a three-day surge added 72 cases to the tally in the two counties, just two new cases were posted on Tuesday morning.
