New coordinator hired at Cal Poly Humboldt to return Indigenous artifacts

In January, Cal Poly Humboldt hired a full time coordinator to facilitate the return of about 23,000 objects to local tribes. The new coordinator is aiming for 100% return of the items — the campus was one of 12 in the CSU system found to have repatriated zero items in a 2023 state audit, required to be returned through legislation passed in 2001.
