A chef who graduated as valedictorian of her class at the famed Le Cordon Bleu in Hollywood opened a new restaurant in Yreka last month, featuring creative, fresh, and affordable fare.
Chef's Pantry owner Debra Sims is a veteran who worked at several upscale restaurants in Southern California before moving to Yreka in 2017. She worked previously at Miner Street Meat Market in their catering department, but Sims jumped at the opportunity to open a restaurant of her own.
“We just want to serve really good food to people that is full of flavor,” she said. ”I look forward to going to work every day.”
