Business owner deals with fallout from Broadway Theatre fire in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - A fire that destroyed Broadway Theatre in Cape Girardeau on March 31 also caused issues for other business owners.
Suzanne Hightower is the owner of Speakeasy Coffee Co. on Broadway.
The new coffee shop will be a 1920s-themed business and is currently located next to the old theater.
“We had some piles of dry wall that were damaged,” said Hightower. “They had to pull back a piece of paneling in the dome area to get the fire out and the water ran into the coffee shop.”
