The cemesto neighborhood equation was left out in this new waste contract. The big blue bright bins will be left at the curb year round due to the hillsides and lack of driveways in the original part of town. A neighbor has already mentioned this plan for their household. You might call it a blue Blight.
The waste folks, as much as I appreciate them, leave the recycle bins strewn in the gutters and even in the road, not placing them back off the curb where they were placed by residents, creating road hazards. Trash will be placed in them during the week on the sidewalks by those who cannot move them weekly, creating smells and probably spills of trash on our pedestrian walks. Bad move to keep the rate low.
