Much of the success from New Balance can be credited to its wealth of lifestyle variations both GR and collaborative that continue to be distributed to the public. And to further back this momentum, the Boston-based brand is further building out its catalog with a brand new silhouette entitled the New Balance Made in UK 1591 — a hybrid that merges the upper from the 1500 with the sole unit of the 991.
Up top, this low-cut model sports various materials from mesh to various leathers to suede. It kicks off with a breathable grey mesh underlay, while the connecting mudguard and front overlays are done up with a smooth leather in dark navy. Sultry suedes line the mid-foot and the collars, the former alternating between berry-esque and yellow accents while the latter opts for a muddy brown. A pebbled leather overlay is parked out back, and arrives with a slightly aged, grayish-blue coating. The 991 lower piece is treated with its traditional color-blocking of a crisp white in the front and a light gray towards the rear, and comes paired on top of all-black outsoles.
