New active COVID-19 cases drop in Brantford-Brant

The Brant County Health Unit reported on Friday 16 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
That’s a drop from the 40 reported on Thursday and the lowest number of daily new cases reported this week.

Total active cases in community also decreased to 174.
Six people are receiving treatment for COVID-19 at Brantford General Hospital.
Brantford-Brant has now had 2,017 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began more than a year ago. Of those, 1,829 have been resolved.
Fourteen local deaths have been attributed to COVID-19.
