New 3D holographic robot teaches guests about the internet at MOXI museum in Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - A new, 3D holographic exhibit has opened on the second floor of MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation, in Santa Barbara.
The exhibit is called "The History of the Internet" and takes place in a room that powers all museum operations, visitor services and interactive exhibits.
The space was reimagined in collaboration with internet provider Cox Communications. Now, when guests enter the room, they will be greeted by a friendly holographic robot named Photon.
Cox explained Photon's job is to ensure everything in the server room runs as fast and smoothly as possible.
