Nevada adds 498 new COVID-19 cases, 8 new deaths

Nevada health officials on Friday are reporting 498 new cases of COVID-19, along with eight new deaths related to the novel coronavirus.
There have been 317,980 total cases of COVID-19 and 5,498 deaths reported in Nevada as of Thursday, May 6, per the state's Department of Health and Human Services.
Nevada's 14-day average for daily cases is now 192, while a daily average of three new deaths has been reported over that same period.
In Clark County, totals of 246,106 cases and 4,330 deaths have been reported.
Test positivity in Nevada, measured using testing encounters over a 14-day period, is 5.6%.
