Netball uniforms could be overhauled after the largest independent review into the sport found the tight-fitting dresses were turning players away from the game.
Netball Australia launched the review on how to improve the future and prospect of the game in a post Covid-19 world before releasing eight recommendations on Thursday.
The organisation had spoken to more than 10,000 netball fans, players and volunteers and identified the tight-fitting lycra uniforms as a major concern for some players.
Former Diamonds captain Liz Ellis, who led the review, revealed the uniforms were a big detterent that interfered with lifestyle or religious doctrine.
'The uniform is just a small component of what the sport can do better but it is an important part for some people,' she said.
