On the evening of Dec. 7, 2020, Neil passed away after an eventful life filled with cattle, horses, and Caterpillars. Born on May 23, 1941, in Denton, Montana to Charles and Lucile (Murray) Glass, Neil developed an early love for yellow iron while working the land of his family’s farm northeast of Denton on Bear Springs Road. He would always attribute his knowledge of moving soil with heavy equipment to Ludwig Lange, although he had also spent time at a heavy equipment school in Weizer, Idaho. In addition to his love for Caterpillar equipment, Neil also held a lifelong passion for driving teams of horses, and along with his father, fed cows with his favorite team, Star and Queeny. Because of these two passions many people respected him as both a CAT and Mule Skinner.
