Dimapur, Nov. 22 (EMN): The Department of Dentistry North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong organised a three-day workshop from Nov. 12 till the 14th on ‘Oral Health care in tribal population of North East India’. The workshop was said to have been graced by Prof (Dr) G. K. Medhi (Dean-NEIGRIHMS) as chief guest, guest of honour Dr. L. Swasticharan (Addl. DDG & Director (EMR) MoHFW, GOI), Prof (Dr.) C. Daniella (Medical Superintendent NEIGRIHMS) and Prof. N. Tasse (Principal College of Nursing-NEIGRIHMS). Resource experts Dr. Vikrant Mohanty from Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences-New Delhi, Dr. Nandita Kshetrimayum from Regional Institute of Medical Sciences-Manipur, Dr. Kavipriya Outtamane State Nodal Officer Puducherry State Health Mission and Dr. Ankita Piplani (Consultant NOHP, MoHFW) enriched the participants with their knowledge and approach to improve oral health care. State nodal officers from north-eastern States of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Manipur, Mizoram and Meghalaya also attended the workshop.
