NECOMM benefits from dedicated emergency network

Cellular towers like this one are used for the FirstNet emergency network used by the Northeast Missouri Emergency Communications Center. In addition to established towers, AT&T can deploy towers on wheels, in the back of light trucks or use airborne dirigibles in the event of an emergency. The system allows emergency personnel to stay connected and provide services in Marion, Lewis and Ralls counties during times when mobile networks are seeing heavy usage or towers are damaged.
