NECAC has funds to assist utility payment needs

The not-for-profit North East Community Action Corporation (NECAC) has been awarded $479.141 for summer utility assistance to income-qualifying households in 12 Missouri counties.
The summer portion of the Energy Crisis Intervention Program (ECIP) begins June 1 and runs through Sept. 30. The program pays overdue electricity bills of up to $600.
“People who are new to the program or have moved will have to complete an application, which is available at www.necac.org,” said NECAC LIHEAP Supervisor Angela Kattenbraker. “An application is not necessary for those who received energy assistance last fall or over the winter and have not moved.”
