The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) says it will provide more than 300 free testing events in the next two weeks to keep up with holiday demand.
Governor Roy Cooper said earlier this week that large gatherings should be avoided this year, but testing is critical if you do decide to meet with others.
“And remember, a negative test doesn't give you a free pass," said Cooper. "It just makes it safer. You'll still need to wear a mask, stay outdoors, practice social distancing in case you contracted the virus after you got tested.”
