NBN Co’s ‘soft cap’ leaves retailers cold

The latest flashpoint has emerged after NBN Co released the second paper of its pricing review on Wednesday morning, following months of industry feedback. While major retailers like Telstra, Optus and TPG Telecom want the capacity charge known as “Connectivity Virtual Circuit” scrapped, NBN Co has instead suggested a cap on the fee if telcos can meet certain criteria.
