Navy master chief shot in 2017 standoff gets $2.75M in lawsuit settlement

Island County has agreed to pay $2.75 million to settle a lawsuit filed by a former Navy master chief who was shot while trying to help the county’s Sheriff’s Office deputies and its scene commander subdue an armed sailor following a 2017 standoff.
